Day 01 : Arrive Cochin
On arrival at the airport Indian Horizons representative would welcome you
and transfer you to the hotel where your room is ready to give you the first
taste of the rich culture of South India. Overnight at Cochin
Day
02 : Cochin - Kumarakom
Morning after breakfast drive to Kumarakom a unique backwater destination
situated on the banks of Vembanad lake. Kumarakom bird sanctuary is a
favorite haunt of migratory birds from across the world which makes it a
renowned bird watching centre. It is also a centre for houseboat cruises.
Overnight at Kumarakom
Day 03 : Kumarakom - Alleppey
After breakfast, board in Houseboat, sightseeing and cruises to Alleppey.
Overnight at Houseboat. (Traditional Kerala food will be served). The
houseboats are giant country Crafts, measuring up to 80 feet length. It took
great skill and meticulousness to construct these giants by tying huge
planks of jack wood together, without the use of a single nail. Today these
are the most exciting tourism product in India, which usually has one or two
bath rooms, an open lounge, deck, kitchenette and a crew comprising oarsmen,
a cook and guide.
Day 04 : Alleppey - Kaymakulam
Morning the house boat proceed through the backwater to Kayankulam. Anchor
at Kayankulam Lake.
Day 05 : Kaymakulam - Cochin
Morning proceed to Cochin airport for your flight back home. You will be
met by the Indian Horizons representative at the airport to wish you
farewell.
